Yo MacYippers!
Today we start a new segment, hopefully to be videotaped and shared with the screaming throngs who just can't get enough of bitching comedian/bloggers on a daily basis, called "Bite Me." OK, title might need work. Not sure.
It may be too subtle.
Anyway, feedback is welcome and my email address is at the bottom.
Hope your MLK day is the grooviest day of the year.
WHO YA GONNA BELIEVE, ME? OR YOUR LYING EYES?
Meanwhile, have you ever noticed politicians are liars?
Both side have been doing the big Pinocchio dance since they invented politicians (and who the hell did that? No Einstein he), but the GOP has become especially proficient at just making shit up.
Did you know that the words "job killing" are actually in their bill to repeal health care? Did you know that by saying "job killing" they are lying through their teeth as well as their giant noses?
Proof?
Check the facts at FactCheck.Org.
What do facts have to do with political arguments? Not much these days.

# Independent, nonpartisan experts project only a "small" or "minimal" impact on jobs, even before taking likely job gains in the health care and insurance industries into account.
# The House Republican leadership, in a report issued Jan. 6, badly misrepresents what the Congressional Budget Office has said about the law. In fact, CBO is among those saying the effect "will probably be small."
# The GOP also cites a study projecting a 1.6 million job loss — but fails to mention that the study refers to a hypothetical employer mandate that is not part of the new law.
Yes, it takes two hands to handle their whoppers. I live for hopelessly outdated pop culture references.
You know that poll that said most people don't think the savage political discourse had anything to do with the shootings in Tucson?
That may or may not be true.
But it's also true that if it DID have anything to do with the savage political discourse, AMERICANS WOULDN'T KNOW IT BECAUSE THEY DON'T PAY ATTENTION!
So, is a poll accurate when its respondents don't even understand the situation well enough to render an informed opinion?
Then again, we let everyone vote.
